(January 30, 2012 — Longwood, FL) Lenny Layland, broker-owner of Investorlando Realty, announces the addition of five new tenants this month to the historic Longwood Village Inn, lifting occupancy to 90%. The Inn is located across the street from the planned Longwood Sunrail Station on Ronald Reagan Blvd.

Titlecorp of America, Hard Times Advertising, Hardwood Floors, Inc., Matthew W. Smith, Esq., and Arelis Miller of ALG Brokers and Blackstone Title Company join the 22 other small businesses at the Inn, along with Investorlando Realty that manages the building on site. Five other businesses function as virtual tenants, bringing the total to 32.

In the fourth quarter of 2011, Notary Connections, Keith Eichenblatt Lighting, and LaRosa Realty signed leases for space at the converted Inn.

Layland, manager of the renovated centerpiece property of Longwood, says the proposed Sunrail station adjacent to the Inn is becoming a draw for businesses seeking to capitalize on the commuter rail’s anticipated positive impact on the area’s economy.

“There has been a sudden, exciting groundswell of small business owners who wish to call the Inn their new home,” says Layland. “We are fortunate to have such a diverse blend of professional tenants who enjoy the unique aspects and comforts of this historic building.”

Layland’s private equity fund, Investorlando, Limited, which he founded in 1999, holds assets of more than $3 million including the Longwood Village Inn, which originally opened as the Waltham Hotel in 1885. The Inn is listed on National Register of Historic Places and, purported to be haunted, it has been recognized by the National Registry of Haunted Places.

(April 5, 2011 – Longwood, FL) Lenny Layland, broker-owner of Investorlando Realty, says the addition of two new tenants — Busy Bee Multimedia and Linda E. Biller, EA, with Tax Problem Resolution, Inc. — to the historic Longwood Village Inn are a result of his growing relationship with two local bartering organizations designed to help businesses trade goods and
services.

Busy Bee Multimedia, publishers of Tourist Magazine and producers of start-up packages for businesses (logos, websites, business cards), learned of the unique office suites at the Longwood Village Inn via Florida TradeBank. Linda Biller, who specializes in tax problem resolutions and tax preparation, is a member of Barter First International. Biller was originally a virtual tenant at the Inn until she struck a barter deal with Layland trading office space for accounting services.

Busy Bee and Biller join 25 other small businesses and virtual tenants who call the Longwood Village Inn home. Tenants include attorneys, financial professionals, small business owners, massage and hypnosis professionals and Investorlando Realty – the real estate sales and investment company that manages the building on site.

“The tenants really appreciate the cooperative networking atmosphere at the Longwood Village Inn,” says Layland. “That characteristic attracts those interested in trading goods and services with other like-minded professionals.”

Layland says approximately 90% of the office suites have been rented in this renovated centerpiece property of Longwood, which originally opened as the Waltham Hotel in 1885.

(Oct. 27, 2010 – Longwood, FL) What’s Halloween without a few ghosts? The Southern Paranormal Research Society (SPRS) and the crew of the Travel Channel’s new Shadow Hunting program are both coming to the Orlando area this weekend in hopes of meeting a few of the purported spirits living at the historic Longwood Village Inn.

The Longwood Village Inn, which is the current home of Investorlando Realty, opened as the Waltham Hotel in 1887. It is one of the few remaining 19th century buildings remaining in Florida today and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Today, the old hotel houses full service offices and executive suites managed on site by Investorlando Realty.

“Tenants love it because it’s a beautiful, unique building and the ghosts — and the ghostbusters — only come out at night,” says Broker Lenny Layland, manager and part owner of the Inn.

The St. Marys, Georgia-based SPRS will be locked down on Saturday night, October 30 using a team with a combined 32 years of experience in hunting ghosts to try to prove their existence at the Inn. Shadow Hunting, a new ghost adventure show on the Travel Channel, will investigate paranormal activity on Friday night, October 29.

Investorlando Realty Opens in Historic Longwood Inn
(May 25, 2010 – Orlando, FL)
Investorlando Realty, a newly formed brokerage model in Longwood, Fla., focusing on real estate as an investment, will have its official opening June 1, 2010, in the historic Longwood Village Inn.

Lenny Layland, former broker-owner of Homevest Realty in Orlando, says Investorlando Realty is dedicated to helping people make money by investing in Orlando-area real estate. Clients can do this directly with a turnkey investment property or simply buying a home. Alternative investments are offered to clients through a diversified investment fund or pooled group investment.

Layland’s private equity fund, Investorlando, Limited, which he founded in 1999, holds assets of more than $3 million including the Longwood Village Inn, which originally opened as the Waltham Hotel in 1885.

“I wanted to create a new model outside of the standard ‘buy and sell a home’ brand,” Layland says about his new brokerage. He sold Homevest Realty in 2007 in anticipation of the bursting real estate bubble and after realizing he wanted to distance himself from the traditional real estate brokerage model and focus more on investment clients.

Investorlando Realty services include property management, buyer representation, seller marketing, and consulting. These services are available to residential, investment and commercial buyers and sellers.

A newly launched website for the brokerage and investment company – www.investorlandorealty.com — includes a property search engine, a free investment calculator, detailed information on real estate investing, and how qualified businesses can set up shop in the old historic Longwood Village Inn where limited office space, executive suites and virtual offices are now available.
Note: Broker Lenny Layland can be reached directly at 407-937-2200.

Who: Spirits of the Supernatural Society
What: Documenting Paranormal Activity for TV
Where: Longwood Village Inn, Longwood, Fla.
When: Saturday night May 22, 2010

(May 20, 2010 – Orlando, FL) If the spirit of George Clark or any other ghosts are haunting the 120-year-old Longwood Village Inn in Longwood, Fla., the Spirits of the Supernatural Society (SOS) are poised to document their existence this Saturday night, May 22, 2010.

Legend has it the Longwood Village Inn has been haunted since April 1923 when owner George Clark had a fatal accident in the rear of the hotel while hosting an ice cream social. Since that time, there have been numerous accounts of unexplained shadows and voices, doors opening and closing, cold spots and sightings of children.

Armed with paranormal detection equipment, the SOS will be filming for a proposed television program titled Thirteen Steps and Beyond to begin airing later this year. Mike Phillips, lead investigator for SOS, says the goal of the program is to show the investigative process and not embellish or create activity as he believes has been the case with some paranormal programs.

The building manager, Lenny Layland, broker-owner of Investorlando Realty, which is headquartered at the Inn, says it is not the first time ghost hunters have asked to investigate paranormal activity in the three-story wooden structure; this will be the sixth time a group has spent the night in the past three-plus years.

The Longwood Village Inn, which is one of the few remaining 19th-century buildings left in Florida today and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places, opened as the Waltham Hotel in 1887. It is also on the National Registry of Haunted Places. It was a grand hotel in its time, boasting electric bells and indoor bathrooms for only $3 per day.

The Inn is located across the highway from the new Longwood Light Rail station. This new transportation hub will make The Longwood Village Inn an even more important part of the Longwood landscape.

The building has been recently updated and transformed into The Longwood Village Inn, an office building that provides a unique and inviting atmosphere for business. There are many attorneys and other professionals, along with a variety of other businesses that call the building home, none of which seem to mind the ghosts. Maybe they only come out at night.

Note: Investorlando Broker and Inn manager Lenny Layland can be reached directly at 407-937-2200. Mike Phillips of SOS can be reached at 407-968-9800.
